After working together with some important instructors separately, Eşref and Vanessa, both are accepted and respected as one of the most important figures in Turkish tango history. They became tango partners as they discovered the similarities of their perspective of tango, and in a very short period of time, they have become a source of inspiration for many people.

Their dance contains the elegance of traditional tango as well as the innovative musical understanding of the new era.

As tango teachers they find ways to help their students discover and improve their own essence while they make it much easier to learn those things which seems to be complicated in a comfortable environment.

Eşref has a background in engineering and Vanessa, who has been living a life full of dance since she was 5 (classical ballet, ballroom dances, jazz, swing, salsa, tango), has a background in biology. Having their own experiences in science made them curious about the possibilities which led them to an analytical approach. You can see these characteristics when you watch their unique dance full of surprises.

Loukas Balokas & Georgia Priskou

loukas_y_georgiaThey went to their first tango class in 2000. Since then and until today their life is bound to this dance. They have been constantly working with some of the most important tango teachers and staying in Buenos Aires for a long time played a leading role in their dancing culture and evolution.
After years of practicing and exploring the fields of improvisation and choreography, they have developed their personal style. The characteristics of their dance are the musicality, speed, alterations in the dynamic of the movement and the intense dramatic elements. They love toying with the classical as well as the modern form, mixing them.
Their teaching is based on the understanding of the basic dancing elements, trying to provide their students the necessary tools to create their own dance through an entertaining method.
They are considered to be one of the couples mainly responsible for the distribution and establishment of the tango scene around Greece. Georgia is also one of the first Greek tango DJs, still playing music in several Milongas and festivals. For many years they have been teaching in the major Greek cities, still maintaining their regular student basis in their Dance Studio, in Athens (Tangofix).
They have also been working around Europe, in countries like Italy, France, Buglaria, Hungary, Turkey and Germany, performing and teaching in workshops and important tango festivals (F.I.T.A., tanGoToistanbul, Athens Tangofestival, Tangocamp, Tangomagia, From Tango To The World, Tangogreece festival, Meditango, Ankara Tango Festival, and many others). Additionaly they have taken part and produced dance theater performances in: Badmington Theater, Ivi, Acropol, Katia Dandoulaki and more.
